MP Workouts

MP Workouts is a video content-driven membership website designed to help people with busy schedules. It can be difficult to find time to make it to the gym when several other responsibilities demand your attention. It can also be difficult to come up with a consistent workout schedule that focuses on form, technique, and muscle groups all on your own, not to mention motivation and accountability. MP Workouts puts this all together to give members the tools they need to be successful in their pursuit of health.

Megan, the founder of MP Workouts, started her platform on Wix. While Wix isn’t a bad option, WordPress offers a much more robust platform with more options and a higher level of control. Realizing that she was going to quickly outgrow Wix, Megan contacted me to rebuild her membership website on WordPress.

The design and branding itself were created by another graphic designer, so my job was a little different compared to past projects. Having moved websites off of Wix before, I knew the details of the work would focus on the technical and lots of troubleshooting – and there was LOTS of troubleshooting. After rebuilding the site on WordPress and reintegrating her customer base through the appropriate payment gateway, we launched a fully functional, completely branded membership website.

*Branding update: after launching the site and having it live for about 3 months, I had a discussion on branding with Megan since it did not seem to reflect her accurately. I asked her how she felt about having muted pink and smooth rounded text as her primary brand accents. She expressed that it did not feel like her. This turned into a conversation about what we could do to develop something that did feel like her. A week later, we rebranded the site with a fresh color palette and upated fonts that were more reflective and accurate to Megan. Since we already had the site built, it was a quick and streamlined process.
